About Me
Hi there! My name is Summer and I’ve been on the care-taking trail essentially my entire life. Currently a psychotherapy graduate student, I found my passion for assisting others when my family bought a small Assisted Living Facility when I was seven. Although I started off doing arts and crafts with the residents, I became the company’s executive assistant in high school and continued on with them for a total of nine years. At this point, I had declared psychology as my major in my undergraduate career, knowing certainly that I wanted to make a difference in the mental health field. From there, I spent three years doing intensive case management for acute, community-based clients, which provided me with a breadth of experience working with mentally ill individuals and led me to pursue a graduate degree in psychotherapy. Through it all, I have placed the utmost emphasis on organization, time-management, and administrative excellence to ensure that no matter who I’m serving, the client always gets the highest degree of care possible. Working in the mental health field has been an ambition and a passion of mine dating back into my adolescence and it is my privilege to work amongst those who share my enthusiasm for helping those most in need find comfort and clarity in their lives.
